Role and Responsibilities
Stacey Europe specialises in B2B within the merchandise security sector, working with some of the biggest retailers in the UK. Here, I assisted in the marketing activities for the business, creating e-shots on MailChimp, website redesign, and producing marketing materials using Adobe InDesign and Canva. These materials include brochures, flyers, personalised letters, and all social media posts.
I managed the Twitter page, increasing the impressions by over 400% and doubling the number of followers. The regular posts brought in additional sales and increased interest in the business. Using SEO and Keyword Search (Google AdWords), I drove more traffic to the website, resulting in more online query submissions.
I created a detailed marketing roadmap for a new product launch. I used my creativity to pitch a more contemporary marketing approach whilst ensuring I still followed the brand guidelines. This approach was based on market research and realising that the sector had transformed. My analysis revealed that a younger generation of experts no longer wanted to know simply what a product did but wanted to be wowed by it. This received a positive response from the directors within the business.
My role also included office admin and sales. I was in charge of invoicing using SAGE Accounting and working closely with customers to assist with queries and advise on the best products. Some of my responsibilities included: greeting visitors, professionally answering the phone, handling all deliveries, ensuring the 'front of house' was clean and presentable at all times, organising office events and diaries and making sure each day ran smoothly by keeping organised and quickly understanding how the business operated.
Due to financial issues, I was let go during my probation period as they operated a 'last in, first out' policy.
