Role and Responsibilities
Yapstone is the leading payment processing platform for the vacation rental industry. Their solution provides property owners, booking platforms, and hosts with an integrated way of accepting payments. As the content marketing specialist, I help transform ideas into strategies that align with Yapstone's business objectives.
I played an integral role in developing the content strategy and editorial calendar for Yapstone, which helped shape the brand's narrative and approach to sales. I focused on creating content that delivered long-lasting value to the business.
Some of my responsibilities include delivering sophisticated content across various projects (both internal and external) that align with our brand guidelines. The type of content I execute includes website copy, blogs, press releases, promotional and event materials, email campaigns, graphics, customer retention newsletters, reports, presentation decks, and white papers, all with a focus on SEO and thought leadership.
Frequently, I work with the market analyst team to leverage data and trending industry topics to develop and distribute fresh content, increasing blog traffic by more than 100% and social media engagement by more than 60%. Additionally, I collaborate with the graphic design team and several external agencies to bring content ideas to life – this includes creating design briefs, sub-editing work, and implementing various processes to ensure efficiency to meet deadlines.
Omnichannel social media management – I fully manage the company's presence across social channels and revived the company's Instagram page. Across social, there has been significant growth in the number of followers, engagement, and CTR to the website. For example, I increased the LinkedIn following by over 2000+ people in five months, and engagement metrics for organic updates increased MoM.
I've mentored and managed two marketing interns across various marketing activities, including blog writing and SEO best practices, customer comms, email marketing, and social media.
Additionally, I also provide monthly reporting for the board on all content marketing activities across the business.
